Certified Refurbished is LIKE NEW! I’m not going to discuss the many great features of this camera; plenty of other reviews already do that. I had been using a circa-2008 Nikon D40 for the past decade which enabled me to take hundreds of beautiful photos. But it did not include video capabilities and newer lenses (like the AF-P 18-55mm VR which comes with this D5600) focus faster, have other benefits, but don’t work with the D40. error message when shooting I bought a refurbished camera hesitantly for obvious reasons. I have had the camera less than two weeks and getting an error message and unable to shoot any photos. I’m sending it back because it is defective and had to work to request refund for expensive return postage. I didn’t think I should have to pay for postage since it wasn’t that I changed my mind but that the camera was not working. I don’t think I would buy a refurbished camera again since the electronics are so delicate.
Like new My first dsl camera …I did a lot of research and decided this was the one. Although refurbished I have not noticed it to be used looked brand new to me. There have been no issues or concerns w/this camera and it takes wonderful pictures,video and time-lapse.
