One of the sharpest lens for a fraction of a Sony lens For the price, you canât beat this lens. Itâs super fast at f1.4. Itâs one of the sharpest lens available. Not having OSS isnât that big of a deal honestly. Not when youâre paying so little for a lens this good. 30mm basically becomes a nifty 50 on a crop sensor so the lens is extremely versatile. The build quality is great, doesnât fee cheap at all and it isnât too heavy. For not being a native Sony lens, the autofocus is still pretty fast. On my a6400, the autofocus is great even on video…
Bundle not well matched The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is an outstanding lens especially at this price. The lens does not have stabilization but if paired with Sony a6000 series body with Steady Shot for in camera stabilization, this isn’t a problem. The reason I gave this a bad score is because the bundle is poorly conceived. The lens pouch is too small to house the lens. How hard is this to get right.
I love this. Sharp as hell I love this lens so much. One thing that bothers me sometimes is the autofocus. I say roughly 80% its fine but sometimes it either misses focus completely or just wont seem to “grab it”. Also purple fringing is pretty bad in bright light but I dont rlly care since Im just a hobbyist. If you’re thinking about this lens, get it. You will not regret it. Unless autofocus, stabilization, and video are your priorities, probably go for the sony 35.
