The full-frame 90mm medium telephoto macro E-mount lens features built in image stabilization for sharp, clear images at up to 1:1 magnification, even when shooting handheld. Advanced optics and coatings with a 9-blade circular aperture deliver exceptionally smooth bokeh that G Lenses are renowned for. Sharp in-focus rendering is achieved with a floating focus mechanism that suppresses aberration equally at all focusing distances, whether the subject is far away or extremely close. Other advanced technologies, such as the Nano AR Coating and Super ED (extra-low dispersion) glass, elevate overall performance to an extremely high standard.

Sharp, quality build Ive only had this for a few hours but so far am loving it. This was my first attempt at exploring macro photography – luckily it was snowing when the package came and I went onto my back porch and tried to shoot snowflakes.Great quality build, easy to use manually with a tripod, sharp, and excellent images. The image attached is cropped at over 600% of the full photo.

As Good as a Zeiss I have used some of the best glass on the market… and this Sony Lens is comparable to a much more expensive Zeiss lens. Sony got this 90mm lens right. The Sony SEL90M28G picks up even the finest details, and left me breathless.Used this lens for over a year, and I couldn’t find a single issue with it. Great for macro shots as well as portraits. I primarily used this lens to capture small animals in the park near my house: squirrels, ducklings, swans… I have attached…

Tack Sharpness I own this lens although I didn’t get it thru Amazon since they now hit me for North Carolina state taxes but it is, no doubt the absolute sharpest lens I own for my Sony a7 II. I also have the 55 f/1.8, the 70-200 f/4 and the 16-35 f/4. For anyone in doubt about getting this lens, look closely at the attached image I shot this AM:
