Believe the hype, this lens is extremely sharp. First, let’s get the only real negative of this lens out of the way:It’s not much smaller or lighter than the Canon 100-400 II.Whew, ok, glad that’s over with.The image quality though, is incredible. I’ve shot with the Canon 100-400 II mounted on a Sony A7R II with a lens adaptor and the Sony version blows it out of the water in terms of image quality. I also picked up the 1.4x teleconverter and the image quality is amazing.
