You’re better off just reading your camera manual This book is EXTREMELY basic, and offers very little of practical use and only the most rudimentary theory. You’re better off just reading your camera manual. Other books: “Understanding Exposure” by Bryan Peterson, “Mastering Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Exposure” by Al Judge, and “Beyond Point and Shoot” by Darrell Young are far more informative on this topic, which this book just glosses over. I don’t understand how it received all the five and four star…

Don’t Waste your time I wish I had looked at a few of the 1 star comments before I bought this. This was a total waste of not the $10 for the book, but the time spent skimming and briefly looking through the large print, super simple black and white grainy photos and/or illustrations, hoping to find even just one thing that might be useful. Yes it did have sections on ISO, the shutter and aperture, as stated on the cover, but it was in the tone of a father explaining his Kodak box camera to toddler who was barely…

Great Champion for a New DSLR When reading the introduction to this book it is apparent that author Brian Black composed “Exposure Mastery” as a champion or aid for a buyer of a new DSLR or someone new to digital photography. He does a good job at presenting and explaining the exposure triangle and how to photograph all the popular or most important stuff. The book reads well and the font size is easy on the eye without being big enough to blow you back to first grade. Overall, it’s a handy champion and contains useful…
