It does it’s job. This lens is a performer. I have never shot the sony 1.4 but I don’t feel like there could be $700 of improvement in this lens.
This is my 3rd Sigma lens for Sony At first I was skeptical about buying but I knew I wanted a 35mm F1.4 for my Sony A7R3. After long research I figured this would be the best most economical option and let me say I was wrong.. This lens performs TOP NOTCH… It works very fast (not as fast as SONY GM lenses) but if you change the reactive settings on your Sony camera it’ll make a difference.This lens is on my camera 70% of the time when I’m shooting events.
