Two lenses, ultra wide zoom and a fisheye, for the price of one – highly recommended I have owned the 10.5mm DX fisheye and currently own the 16mm f/2.8 fisheye and the new 8-15mm is as good in terms of image quality and has the zoom capabilities. It is an ultra wide zoom from 15mm down to nearly 8mm where it then becomes a true fisheye. Hefty price, but it’s worth it for my needs. This lens is not cheap, but the reward of having a zoom option and AF is pretty good. I have been using a 6.5mm manual focus off brand. This lens is a little bigger in size, but not as heavy as you would think. Plastic body, but doesn’t feel cheap. If you want the circular affect at 8mm you need to remove the hood. High Quality, Useful Zoom range. For some Nikon lenses, there is software out there that corrects fisheye distortion. Sometimes you want to correct the distortion, some times not. If this is important to you, you should make that your software works with this lens. Mine does not, but that is not a big problem, as I only use this lens when I want a bit of distortion.
