Comparison between Nikon & YONGNUO This lens is very good. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to stay in a lower budget lens category without loosing significant quality. If it is within your budget to purchase the Nikon, I would do so. Great Quality & Value I am a complete newbie to photography. I have a Nikon D5300.I quickly realized that the lenses that came in the kit was not up to snuff and I needed to upgrade. After doing tons of reading I decided to cut my teeth on a lens with good reviews that was economical. Suffice to say I’m very pleased.Professionals might think otherwise but this novice is happy.
