This 50mm is a must have lens, if you currently own a Nikon Z6/7 A high quality lens that delivers great results at all f/stops. The resolution and color rendition is outstanding, even with extreme cropping. There is no doubt that I will now purchase the comparable 35mm lens. Well done, Nikon! The Z6/7 cameras and related Z lenses are a game changer. This could well spell the beginning of the end of digital SLR cameras…except the Nikon D850 is still probably the best of the best, but at a substantially higher price.
Fantastic lens! I like this new Z series lens so much! Nice quality, very solid and still not so heavy (only about 450gr). Excellent sharpness and overall picture quality. It’s so sharp even at fully open aperture. Silent and fast autofocus! Now my videos does not have cracking noice from the focus UV motor. I am now selling all my old Nikon gears and switching to Z series. Highly recommended this lens!
If you have a Nikon Z get this or the 35mm for a walkabout kit. Great lens for the Nikon Z series. I have the Z 6. Itâs everything the pro reviewers claimed. Itâs top quality as evidenced by its weight but about the same as the lighter AF-S Nikon 50âs when you add the weight of the required adapter. This lens or the Z 35 S are perfect primes, complementing the kit Nikkor 24-70 S and the upcoming Nikkor 14-30 S that I have preordered from Amazon. I hope I receive it before my May 31st Cruise (hint, hint). Overall the Nikon Z series is a great travel combo.
