Less expensive than Canon equivalent and MUCH sharper. I was tempted by this lens after my huge disappointment with the new Canon 25-105 f4 II L. The images from the Canon lens on my 5D Mark IV never felt quite right — soft and lacking contrast. Great choice for non-native lens on Sony E-Mount I use this on my A7R III, and I absolutely love this lens. I wish it were slightly lighter and smaller, but the cheaper price compared to Sony makes the trade-off worth it. This lens works flawlessly and delivers superb images.
