The 35mm to Purchase! I was in need of a fast full frame 35mm. Everything out there with a low aperture was usually 3rd party. Glad I waited and was able to pick up the 35mm F1.8. Itâs so compact like the Zeiss 55mm which I own. Itâs also super sharp! Like wow! If you can get it; pick it up. Glad I passed up on the Sigma 35mm F1.4. That lens is huge compared to this one.
So far, so good Iâve only taken this for a spin twice since Iâve received it, but I am happy with the sharpness and focus speed. I think, for the price, the build quality could be better; the Zeiss 55mm just feels so much more solid. I do think itâs a bit overpriced, but Iâve been looking for a small 35mm for some time, so I jumped on this lens.
Overpriced Lens An OK lens. Sharpness of this 35 is above average, but it is way overpriced! Add some money buy a Zeiss Batis 40 or wait for discounts.
