Best Walk-around Lens By Far I have tried nearly every Sony e-mount lens available, including the famous Sigma trio (16mm, 30mm, and 56mm). While this particular lens isn’t the fastest or sharpest, it is beyond any shadow of a doubt the most versatile lens in the entire lineup. Great lens This is the best lens I’ve used in a long time. I’m new to digital photography and bought this lens on the suggestion. This works great. I was able to get some clear action shots of my dog the original lenses would have missed out blurred for sure.Only complaint is the zoom is slow. I’m used to quicker reaction from a manual spin, this lens and actually all Sony lenses I’ve tried, are slow to zoom. The auto focus however is excellent.
