A great camera, but Sony still struggles with their software I’ve had this camera all of 3 days and so far, there is a LOT to like about it. I got the a6100 with the 16-50 kit lens, and also picked up the Sigma 30/f1.4 lens.I have a lot to learn, but so far, I am impressed with the number of features and customization options available. I decided on this model for a few reasons:- Fit it my budget (barely)- Excellent autofocus system- External mic port- Battery can charge inside the camera, so I can use external battery packs…
A6100 Horrible EVF The electronic view finder is complete garbage. I you intend to use it to save battery life or compose shots look elsewhere, and only buy this if you intend to chimp over the larger screen all the time. The Cannon M6 Mark ii, Sony A6400, or Fujifilm XT-30 all have better viewfinders for a very small price difference. The auto-focus is amazing and if you are just a casual user who will stick with the kit lens this is a good deal. But the auto-focus on most modern cameras are very good as well…
No picture profile. Not even Neutral profile! This camera is not for videographers or YouTube content creators. Reason for 3 stars because Sony A6100 doesnât come with picture profile not even Neutral picture profile. My old Sony A6000 have Neutral profile. I donât know why sony removed this option. Sony should update this option with a Firmware update. Overall Sony A6100 is a great camera for shooting 4K and 1080p video. Please Sony give us the pictures profile back.
