For the extremely amateur photographer Another Al Judge, huge print book. It is very brief, thus the large letters. Would be 20 pages long without a large font. As to the content, my this is a beginning beginners book. If you know what aperture and shutter are, this book is too simple for you.

Excellent introduction I purchased this book as I was waiting on the delivery of my first DSLR. It is only a couple hours reading and very concise. By the time the camera arrived I felt like I had exponentially increased my understanding of its functions and settings, drastically improving its value to me. A worthy start to anyone’s photography adventure, and a great companion to a new camera purchase.

Clear & concise The author does a great job of explaining these key building blocks to great photography. Start here if you are not extremely comfortable shooting in manual already. I don’t have all day to sit around reading, and with this book I got the information needed so I could get out there with the camera quickly.
