LOVE this lens! I just received this lens today and I absolutely love it! I am using it on my Nikon D3300 and it is much better than the kit lens that came with the camera. With this lens attached my camera is still a very reasonable size and easy to hold and use. The manual focus ring on the front of the lens is reasonably large, about 3/8″ wide. It has ridges on it so it is very easy to find with my fingers (without looking) and turn. Manual focusing with this lens is very easy, clear, and sharp…

Near to far this lens does it all. There were two things that concerned me when I purchased this lens; the autofocus function and image quality. The other lenses I own are all Nikon but for the price I was willing to gamble on this Tamron offering and if it didn’t meet with my approval then I could always send it back. Ok Lens This is an ok lens in bright light and for general use. The major down for this lens is it does not preform well in low light and the bokeh is not good at all.After taking hundreds of photo’s with this lens I have came to the ultimate conclusion that you should save up your money and buy a sharper lens.
