Fabulous lens! I use it with my a6000. It has tremendous reach, especially when you add clear image zoom. It’s well made and has a satisfying weight but is not too heavy. I shot handheld with no problem. The first photo is of a tower a mile across the lake. Look at that detail! I love this lens, and I’ve only had it one day. 🙂 Shoot in M mode to get the most out of it. I couldn’t really afford this, but I had to have it. I’m so glad I gave in to its siren call. My results after only one day are impressive.

Good, compact telephoto for travel, but not a choice for Pro quality. This lens fills a gap in the Sony APS-C lens line up, and it does so more than competently. After several weeks of frequent use, my quandary before my return period expires in January is how badly do I need that gap filled, and whether this money would be better spent against a 200-600 or 100-400 and just using a recent A7R model.
